The High Wire to the Bridge and Call to Action
As I began to make different choices—ones that honored my wellbeing, ones rooted in truth rather than fear—the rope beneath me started to shift. It didn’t happen all at once, but slowly, steadily, the narrow rope began to widen.
Each time I reached for support, set a boundary, or spoke honestly about what I needed, the rope stretched a little wider. The more I aligned with myself, the less precarious it felt. What once demanded constant balance and contortion began to offer stable footing.
Over time, the rope transformed into something new—a bridge. Stronger. Wiser. Built not from performance, but from care.
And for the first time, I wasn’t just surviving the walk—I was moving forward with steadiness, dignity, and space to breathe.
The issue asked me to reclaim my lost energy and power. It was about rebuilding strength by letting go of my disempowering strings and choosing to grow in ways that no longer rely on unstable foundations.
It’s about channeling new energy into something more sustainable—something that truly nourishes and uplifts. The difficult emotions—disgust, shame, anger, rage, and grief—can become catalysts for meaningful change. They are signals, not sentences.
By building ourselves back up, we move unapologetically toward health, safety, and stability. From that grounded place, we can come together to open up a space to let something new grow - an alternative model—ways of working and being that are rooted in care, honesty, and shared strength.
Take a moment if you would - What would you like to see on the other end of the bridge? What supports would be needed to achieve that?
Call to Action
Interwoven is both an emerging concept and a collective experiment — one rooted in the belief that when we take care of the mental health practitioner, everyone benefits.
Right now, systems are designed to support the client, and stops there. Too often, the clinician is left holding it all — unsupported, unseen, and expected to keep going. But we also see there's a lot more going on.
And while not every MHP feels this strain, we’re reaching out to those who do — those ready to name their needs, share their pain points, reclaim their energy, and imagine something better.
Together, we’re forming a community grounded in care, creativity, strength, honest conversation, and fun. This is a space where vulnerability isn’t a liability — it’s an essential part of the bridge. And we’re not just talking about self-care; we’re redesigning the structure around care itself.
The goal? An alternative model where practitioner wellbeing is foundational — not optional, not secondary. We believe that supporting the clinician in this way is one of the most effective ways to support the client.
It’s a win-win.
Right now, our core offering is online and in-person discussion groups where clinicians can connect, share honestly, and think forward. This project is in its early stages — and intentionally so. We’re building this with community, not before it.
If this resonates, we invite you to:
- Join a discussion group
- Share your email for updates
- Answer our questions on the site
- Pass this along to anyone who needs to hear it
Let’s ask the questions and have the discussions that no one’s talking about — and build what’s long been missing.
